Film Trailer Synopsis
My film trailer is in the genre of a romance film. It begins with an opening sequence of a young girl filming a boy around the same age in a large park or garden. The editing will of high contrast and slightly grainy to show it is summer but being filmed with an old camera. The couple are dancing and generally being silly in the park, the openness of the park suggests freedom for the couple, as does the dancing. Regina Spektor - Us will be played throughout this scene. A male narration will explain the situation throughout and the last scene in this part of the trailer will be a close up of the couple expressing their love for each other. the music then fades to silence and the scene fades to a black screen momentarily and then to a rich looking lady smoking a cigarette laughing in a mocking tone. The contrast between the vivid colour and pleasant music of the last scene compared to this silent scene of the mother gives the audience a feeling of uneasiness. The scene then goes on with dialogue between mother and daughter arguing about the girls choice in her boyfriend and then abruptly ends with the mother forbidding the girl to see him anymore. This outlines the main disruption of the film to the audience. The next scene is of the couple, both sobbing with the girl telling the boy she cannot see him any longer, this then cuts to a pan of an expensive looking car and then a shot of a smug looking rich guy leaning on it, the mothers voice narrates this explaining that this is a better choice for her daughter, the audience will see the problem in this and take a dislike to this character.
